Agile Test

"Test Activities" is integrated with both Jira Agile & Kanban boards. You can either view requirement related test information, or start test case execution directly from any requirement in the board.

synapseRT agile integration contains the following three parts:

1. Since configurations for Agile board and Kanban board are same, so this documentation will only show the configuration details for Agile board.
2. Please follow the same process if you are using Kanban board.

Enable "Test Info" to Jira Agile board

To start using synapseRT agile integration feature, you need to enable "Test Info" by following below steps:

1. Launch "Board Configuration" page
2. Click "Card layout" from left navigation panel
3. From "Active sprints", select "Test Info" and add it

Once "Test Info" is configured in Jira Agile board, you will then see below information in the board.

1. "Test Info" icon with Test Case number
2. Requirements and Test Cases section in "Issue Details" panel

Test execution and result update from a Requirement

QA tester can start test case execution from any requirement in the board by following below steps:

1. Click "Test Info" icon. All Test Cases that are associated to the Requirement will be listed in the dialog.
2. You can either execute an existing "Test Run" by clicking "Execute" button, or create a new "Ad Hoc Test Run" by clicking "Create Run", and then execute.

Note

1. "Create Run" action will fill current "Sprint" information to new created "Test Run" automatically.
2. Any Test Plan/Test Cycle with current "Sprint" information specified, will be listed under corresponding Test Cases too.
3. Only "Test Runs" those have current "Sprint" information specified will be listed under Test Cases.
